🧘♀️Our Wednesday Zoom Yoga Family — You’re Invited
Listen to the full private podcast episode below.
For years now, each and every week, there’s been a small community gathering to nurture self-care together on Wednesday mornings. And you’re invited. 🌿
We meet on Zoom — cameras on or off, tea in hand, wearing the comfiest clothes we own (I’m usually in swingy pants). There’s no sweating required here, and certainly no need for tight yoga pants unless you love them. This space is all about softness.
How It Works
The meeting room opens at 8:30 am Central so you can log in early, settle in, and—if you’re new—we can get your tech sorted before class starts. At 9:00 am, we begin our gentle practice, and we wrap up right at 10:00 am.
I’ve been teaching yoga since the summer of 2020, and weekly classes like this one have been my anchor ever since.
This class in particular has helped me stay steady, eased my anxiety, and built a sense of community that has carried me through so much over the years.
Over those years, I’ve taught from my home, from Illinois, while house-sitting, and even from my mom’s living room on Christmas morning. I’ve met the sweetest Zoom friends (and their cats—two students are even the godparents to my pets!).
A Gentle, Familiar Flow
Our hour together is simple and steady.
We start with gentle movements to arrive in our bodies and check in with our inner compass.
Then we move into a “peak” moment with a couple of downward dogs and one balancing pose.
The last half of class is yin-inspired stillness — cozy, supported postures like twists, constructive rest, supported bridge, heart openers, and savasana. Sometimes I guide you through a meditation; sometimes, it’s simply quiet and spacious.
This class is for every body, including absolute beginners. No flexibility or experience required. All you need is a comfy space and clothes you can move in.
Props are optional — a bolster, couch cushion, or pillow works beautifully, and blocks can be nice for extra support.
Your First Class — On Me
I was first offering the first free class to patrons only, but then I decided to open it up so anyone could try Zoom yoga without having to commit to Patreon first.
This felt so right in my body, and I knew I had to shout it from the rooftops.
So now, your first class is completely free — whether or not you’re a patron — so you can see how it feels before deciding if you want to come back.
After that, classes are $15 each, or you can join Patreon for extra benefits:
$7/month patrons get one free class each month
$50/month patrons get every Wednesday free
An Invitation to Slow Down
If you’ve been craving a midweek exhale, a place to be welcomed exactly as you are, and a practice that’s gentle but deeply grounding — this is your space.
Join us on Zoom any Wednesday morning. Use the code WELCOMEPOSE for your first class free.
Come early if you want help with tech, stay after to say hello, or keep your camera off the whole time if that’s more your style.
I’d love for you to meet the sweetest, kindest group of humans (and their pets), and to feel supported by the earth and your own gentle self-care practice.
