Final Sound Baths in Pensacola

For most of my life, Northwest Florida has been home.

I’ve traveled here and there over the years, but I always returned. The roots were deep, the rhythms familiar, and until recently, I never felt a strong pull to live anywhere else. But this year is bringing one of the biggest shifts of my life.

I’m moving out west to Colorado.

The seed for this change was planted on the Summer Solstice last year. Since then, the idea has slowly, steadily grown into something real. What started as a quiet possibility has turned into a clear next step, and now we’re in the final months of preparing to leave Pensacola. We’ll be departing in mid-April.

Like any big life transition, it holds both excitement and uncertainty. There’s a sense of adventure in it, and also the tender awareness that we’re closing a long chapter. Over the past couple of months, we’ve been slowly minimizing, clearing, and preparing our home to become someone else’s. It’s been emotional, grounding, and, at times, surreal.

After 35 years in the same place, stepping into something new feels significant.

This isn’t a forever goodbye. Family is still here, and we plan to visit throughout the year. Pensacola will always be part of my story. But it is a turning of the page, and I’m learning to hold that with both gratitude and curiosity.

If you’ve spent time in Colorado or have favorite places to recommend, I’d genuinely love to hear about them. This next chapter feels like a wide-open landscape, and I’m excited to explore it slowly and intentionally.

As we prepare to leave, Tree and I will be offering a couple more local sound baths before we go. These feel especially meaningful right now — a way to gather, ground, and share space together before the transition.
