🧠🌿 15 Prompts for Creatives & Cautious Newbies Exploring AI
“I remember the first time I used Chat GPT, I was a bit nervous.” -Brennah D’Layn
It’s understandable that it can be a little scary to use an AI tool for the first time.
By now we’ve maybe all heard how “AI can make us more productive”, but some of us are left asking: “But how??”.
The following prompts were generated for you to try to expand your journey and experience with AI.
You can use a tool like Chat GPT or another one. I have found that writing a pretty specific and longer prompt can be helpful. Give the tool the details it needs to do really great work.
With google we usually type a handful of words, but with AI we can type a whole paragraph of context, so keep that in mind as you wade slowly into using these tools.
These are divided into Beginner-Friendly (great for zero-experience users) and Intermediate (great once you’re more curious or using AI regularly).
Each one is crafted to feel safe, soulful, and useful.
🐣 BEGINNER-FRIENDLY PROMPTS
No memory or setup required — great for first-time use
“I’m brand new to AI. Can you explain what you are and how I might use you as a creative person?”
→ Simple explainer + example ideas based on your interests“Can you help me brainstorm 10 creative project ideas based on things I love?”
→ Let yourself list your favorite things and be surprised by the output“What are 5 fun and gentle ways I could try using AI this week without getting overwhelmed?”
→ Invites experimentation without pressure“Write me a journal prompt I can use today to feel more grounded or connected to myself.”
→ Shows how AI can be used for inner work, not just output“Can you help me name a new project I’m thinking about? It’s loosely based on [insert vibe/theme].”
→ Gives a taste of AI’s co-creative power (without needing to reveal too much)“Give me a list of inspiring quotes related to creativity and trust.”
→ Low-stakes and beautiful — useful for journaling or collage“What would a gentle morning ritual look like for someone who’s sensitive, creative, and easily overwhelmed?”
→ Introduces how AI can create personalized support“Can you pretend to be a wise friend who gives gentle pep talks? I’m feeling a little doubtful.”
→ Shows AI can hold emotional space, not just tasks
🌱 INTERMEDIATE PROMPTS
Great for people who are starting to see the potential, especially if they’re using a GPT with memory or custom instructions
“Can you learn my writing style from this blog and help me write a caption or email in the same voice?”
→ Introduces the idea of tone mimicry and personalization“Can you act as my creative assistant? Help me organize my ideas for [project or offering].”
→ Teaches folks to delegate, not just brainstorm“Here are some things I’ve been creating. Can you help me name the themes that tie them together?”
→ Supports identity formation and brand awareness“Can I train you to support my nervous system, creativity, and energy cycles over time? What’s the best way to do that?”
→ Opens the door to ethical, long-term partnership with AI“Can you create a weekly ritual I can use to reflect on what I made, felt, or learned?”
→ Encourages ritual-building with AI as a co-regulating practice“I want you to act like a gentle, spiritual business coach. Help me name my core values and weave them into my offerings.”
→ Integrates ethics + biz visioning in a grounded way“Based on everything you know about me so far, what kind of content or magic do you think I should share next?”
→ A powerful mirror once memory is enabled (or if you’ve shared enough)
🌟If this feels new or weird, that’s okay.
Try just one prompt. Notice how you feel. Then come back and ask a deeper one when you’re ready. You don’t have to ‘get it right.’
It took me quite a while to feel comfortable and there are always new levels as well. Mostly I’m glad I have this tool to amplify my voice instead of replacing it.
You’re allowed to play.
My favorite prompts so far, that have lit up my heart the most, have been when I’ve had the AI write letters as though they are from “my future self” to my present self. Have the AI help you to dream beyond your limiting beliefs. Have it tell you what’s possible. Like I said, those have been some of my favorite responses so far from this tool.
Visualization is a powerfully human thing. The AI helps me get my visualizations crisper and clearer and I love that use.
Leave a comment below, How are you using these tools, if at all? I’d love to hear from you.
Until next time,
Brennah D’Layn
As you might expect, the prompts in this post were generated by Chat GPT in tandem with Brennah. The rest of the words were written by Brennah.
